The Opportunity at Komodo Health

At Komodo Health, we are committed to transforming real-world healthcare data into actionable intelligence through our SaaS platform MapLab. MapAI is MapLab’s Natural Language chatbot interface that allows our users to derive insights from our data orders of magnitude faster than traditional methods without any special technical skills via the use of Generative AI. The quality, reliability, and performance of AI-driven insights through MapAI are critical to the success of our platform.

As a Senior Software Engineer in AI & Data Quality Automation, you will lead end-to-end automation and validation efforts for MapAI, focusing on AI model validation, statistical data validity, and automated quality checks. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to ensure MapAI delivers high-confidence, high-quality results across Komodo’s platform.

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…

• Gained sound knowledge of the healthcare domain, healthcare datasets, and Komodo’s AI services
• You would have performed AI Model and Data validation. Developed an automated framework to verify the statistical integrity, consistency, and quality of AI-insights
• Performed cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, and medical experts
• Created scalable automation for data validation and application interaction
• Created automated QA processes to ensure efficient and high-quality releases

These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for:

• Create detailed test automation strategies
• Create new frameworks and learn to manage existing ones
• Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and full-stack engineers to define and implement data validation rules
• Build CI/CD pipelines and oversee execution
• Providing actionable reports and insights
• Be able to troubleshoot and debug problems in various environments
• Be able to perform gap analysis between different healthcare data set versions

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience building QA processes for AI systems. GenAI experience is a plus
• Automation and Quality engineering experience
• Ability to conduct automated API testing using tools like Swagger, and Postman and libraries like Requests
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with Relational Databases
• Proficiency in implementing automation for complex web platforms
• Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, in a fast-paced and demanding agile environment

Additional skills and experience we’ll prioritize…

• Experience with any Data quality tool such as Monte Carlo, Anomalo, or similar is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with international teams (good conversational English level required)

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
