About the role 

As a Senior Data Analyst you will be part of the Commercial Excellence Team within Danske Bank's Business Customer unit as part of the Nordic Analytic and Insights Team. In this role you will be part of delivering commercial data driven initiatives that stretch across all Nordic countries, having close dialogue with stakeholders on all levels of the bank’s Business Customers unit, a unit that serves +200 000 small and mid-sized corporates across market areas.

You can expect to solve complex problems, support decision-makers with data-driven recommendations, and become a trusted advisor for key stakeholders. You will work with senior leadership yet be comfortable in working effectively at all levels of large organisations. You will also need the ability to balance a holistic view with attention to detail. Additionally, as we transition to a new tool stack within Danske Bank, part of your role will involve inspiring and supporting the team in optimising workflows using the new tools to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

You have a curious mindset to challenge status quo and bring enthusiasm to the team with a can-do attitude. As a Data Analyst and Technical Mentor you will: 

• Possess high expertise in Python, with the ability to elevate the team's Python capabilities.
• Infrastructure experience with platforms such as Databricks and GitHub or Azure DevOps., or other Git solutions, with a strong understanding of best practices to inspire and support the team in optimising workflows using these tools to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Good understanding of software functionality and be able to take dialogue with supporting tech teams in Danske when issues arise.
• Possesses a comprehensive analytical toolkit that enables effective structuring, analysis, and presentation of data to maximise organisational value. Expected to perform data extraction and management using SQL, conduct analytics primarily in Python, and present findings using Microsoft Office suite products. 
• Approach assignments with curiosity, acting as a data and analytics consultant for stakeholders, thus allowing your analytical skills to shape the final product in unforeseen ways. 
• Strong technical background to support complex analytics, including regression analysis. 
• Ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders across business, data platform, technology, finance, and data scientist teams.

The ideal candidate possesses experience from specialised data teams, preferably within the financial sector, and has a technical background with a strong ability to teach others and simplifying complex or technical concepts. While not essential, having a keen interest in AI, frontrunner in implementing Danske Bank AI solutions and identifying business opportunities would be advantageous.
