We want to find a visionary, adaptable, and results-oriented AI Data Science Learning Senior Specialist within our AI Academy team. This position is located in Waltham, MA (candidates may also reside in either Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). What you'll do
As the AI Data Science Learning Senior Specialist, you'll support the execution, logistics, and engagement efforts for National Grid’s Data & AI Academy. This academy is designed to upskill employees, specialists, and leaders in AI and data-related competencies. You'll assist in course creation, curation, rollout, tracking, communication, and stakeholder coordination. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the creation and rollout of the Data & AI Academy, ensuring seamless execution from conception to post-launch tracking.
- Manage course creation and curation by selecting and developing training content for various employee levels, from foundational to advanced AI applications.
- Oversee Learning Management System (LMS) implementation and optimize the delivery of AI and data science educational materials.
- Develop marketing and engagement strategies to drive adoption and awareness of the academy across National Grid.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including L&D teams, data teams, AI practitioners, and third-party course providers, to ensure high-quality training programs.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing events, including community-of-practice meetings, webinars, and internal AI learning summits.
- Track and measure academy success, using KPIs to monitor adoption, engagement, and training effectiveness.
- Create and deliver engaging presentations to leadership, stakeholders, and employees to communicate the vision, progress, and impact of the AI Academy.
- Develop communication materials to promote AI training programs across internal platforms (intranet, Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage, etc.).
- Provide executive-level reporting on training program progress, impact, and future initiatives.
About you
- A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in Data Science, AI, Learning & Development, Education, Management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong experience and understanding of Python.
- Experience with data, analytics, and AI concepts.
- Strong understanding of LMS platforms, e-learning methodologies, and online course development.
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience in planning and executing training rollouts.
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering engaging and impactful presentations to different audiences.
- Proven communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with senior executives.
- Ability to work independently, influence without direct authority, and navigate a matrixed organization.
- Experience in a consulting role is an added plus, particularly in advisory or strategic transformation initiatives related to AI, data, or corporate learning.
