What you will do
As an intern or as part of your thesis, you will become part of our dedicated team and work with state-of-the-art technology on
exciting projects in the field of robotics for autonomous aviation. Implement your own robotics projects and immerse yourself in
innovative research fields, including:
- Implementation of various functional pipelines such as
- Autonomous landing in outdoor areas
- Autonomous landing on hubs / landing sites
- GNSS-denied navigation
- (Cooperative) path and trajectory planning
- Cooperative localization of drone teams
- Mission intelligence for autonomous decision-making
- Fusion, modeling, and construction of complex sensor systems
- Automatic calibration and synchronization of sensors
- Generation of unique multimodal datasets
- Sensor data fusion: Early, Mid, and Late Fusion
- Implementation of swarm functions and communication in the swarm
What you bring to the table
- Enrolled in one of the following or related fields of study (Bachelor/Master): Mechatronics, Electrical and Information Engineering, Cybernetics, Robotics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related subject area
- Very good academic performance
- Experience from previous own research work or courses in robotics and embedded systems
- Experience in the field of sensors, path / trajectory planning, or sensor data fusion
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and experience with ROS2
- Passion for research and solving complex problems
- Structured, independent and results-oriented way of working
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
