Within the Data Science and Model Integration group of DRiVE (Datascience Rigs and Vehicle Engineering) team, the candidate will be the main responsible for managing integrated model infrastructure and Fast Running and Real time plant model development for different vehicle domains (Electrical, Gas-dynamics, Cooling/Thermal, …)

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Definition and management of integrated vehicle model infrastructure
• Models’ version and models parametrization management process development
• Models interface definition and maintenance
• High fidelity model reduction down to Real-Time by means of different techniques (volumes and masses lumping, timestep optimization, simplification, mapping, …)
• Sensors and actuators modelling
• Integration and troubleshooting of the developed models into fully integrated vehicle model and Real-Time machines
• Supplier management for outsourced activities

Skills and Competencies:

• Previous experience within an automotive OEM or automotive service company (at least three years)
• Advanced engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of powertrain and vehicle system modelling techniques
• Experience with major Real Time platforms (i.e. dSPACE, SpeedGoat, Concurrent, …)
• Excellent knowledge of Matlab Simulink
• Advanced knowledge of CAE system modelling platform (GT-Suite and Simscape)
• Experience in distributed version control system as Git
• Experience in both experimental and simulation techniques applied to automotive development
• Excellent team player and communicator, able to work effectively with cross functional teams
• Ability to organize multiple technical inputs, summarize and present to top management
• Strong problem-solving skills, along with an ability to manage a varied workload, to tight deadlines
• Able to work at a fast pace and with a high degree of accuracy and flexibility
• An open mind and curiosity to apply new approaches to existing problems
• Passion for high performance automotive technology
