Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is a part of Disney Experiences (DX), and is a center of excellence leading strategy development and decision making through actionable data analytics, integration, and insights.  Within CIMA, the Digital and Travel Operations Analytics (DTOA) team is focused on leveraging best practices in analytics to capture data, analyze, and optimize our digital and contact center channels, to drive Guest satisfaction and business outcomes.

DTOA is looking for a Digital Analyst with innovative problem solving skills, a passion for data analytics, and the ability to help guide business decisions through story telling. The successful candidate will be able to find the story in the numbers through a variety of statistical and data analysis techniques that lead to actionable business recommendations.

This position will support the Disneyland Resort business and report to the Manager, Digital Analytics. What you will do:

  • Partner closely with marketing, commercial, consumer insights, technology, and finance partners in developing a holistic business story and find new ways to improve the Guest’s digital experience on the Disneyland website and mobile app.
  • Create, manage, and disseminate regular cadenced (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) reporting that covers a variety of areas such as tickets, resorts, website optimization, and marketing.
  • Collaborate with business, technology and analytics partners to determine needs and assist with defining data collection requirements.
  • Utilize digital data from user behavior on the Disneyland website and mobile app to forecast future sales patterns and lead commercial strategy decision making.
  • Analyze complex data sets using statistical techniques and tools to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Assist in identifying A/B testing opportunities for website optimization and improving site conversion.
  • Create compelling presentations to highlight analysis and tell the story

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of analytical experience
  • 1+ years of digital analytics tool use such as Adobe or Google Analytics
  • 2+ Proficiency in Microsoft based tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Ability to explain technical datapoints or complex concepts to a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data and effectively guide decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex business environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL queries, A/B testing, statistical analysis (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimentations, regressions).
  • Understanding and/or interest in AI in the analytics space
  • Expertise using Python, Matlab, R, or SAS for statistical analysis and/or automation.
  • Familiarity working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Chartio, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, and cohort analysis.
  • Interest or practical experience applying machine learning techniques (e.g. regression, decision trees, clustering, etc.)

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience ideally in Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or of similar domain.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s or equivalent work experience ideally in Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or of similar domain.

#DISNEYTECH

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim California is $110,000-$118,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
