About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Digital Product Manager who will be a part of the Commercial Banking Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning team. This role will partner with lines of business to orchestrate intake and leadership reviews of Generative AI use cases. The role will also collaborate with data science and technology teams as they collectively deliver GenAI solutions to Wells Fargo Commercial Banking.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as a top subject matter expert to lead Artificial Intelligence and GenAI initiatives for the Commercial Bank with high risk and/or with significant scope, cost, and benefits
  • Define the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant development and execution of portfolio of AI use cases and initiatives which have significant impacts across multiple areas of Commercial Bank
  • Design and establish AI/GenAI program including investment prioritization, use case rationalization, and performance tracking/monitoring
  • Help support and coordinate with Wells Fargo Enterprise level GenAI program including performance reporting and investment planning
  • Help drive and monitor AI solutions that are long-term, large-scale, broad-reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding AI strategy for product/functionality/experience area
  • Influence, AI strategy for the business line or enterprise that significantly impacts the organization's business and financial operations
  • Strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
  • Serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Represent the company externally in industry networking and trade and technical events
  • Define and create the framework of short to long term strategic objectives to transform CB and build key tenants including strategic blueprints, ROI framework, partnerships.
  • Communicate effectively at executive level articulating strategy aligned to business goals, drive consensus, deliver future state vision and bring ideas to cross enterprise collaboration.
  • Identify and translate latest trends, capabilities, and market evolution to apply to new AI ideas and use cases for CB.
  • Partner with CB leadership and stakeholders to create and execute corresponding business plans and initiatives.
  • Manage the investment planning prioritization process with finance, business leaders and technology.
  • Develop presentations for both internal and external audiences communicating overviews of the line of business strategy and strategic initiatives and investments.
  • Manage risk, regulatory and audit related deliverables and programs in a timely manner.
  • Partner with line of business and key functions to ensure dependencies required to execute strategic initiatives are prioritized, funded and monitored.
  • Lead new governance forums and create decisioning framework for investments.
  • Serve as a key point of coordination for strategic activities across the CB organization and key stakeholders including businesses CEO's, and enterprise partners.
  • Deliver the business vision and objectives to key support partners providing direction and leadership as needed.
  • Introduce enhancements and create new internal processes related to organizational design and development, business operations and governance.
  • Identify areas for improvement to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • 1+ years of AI experience, either in a product management, technology or consulting capacity
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Excellence Executive Presence - demonstrated ability to create and present a clear, strategic vision to executive leadership with exceptional polish and professionalism, both in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
  • Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, specifically Large Language Models

Daily Operations
• Oversee daily operations: hiring, goal setting, budget and resource allocation
• Identify, develop, implement and execute business strategy and initiatives leveraging GenAI and ML innovations and capabilities to solve business challenges and drive operational transformation

Vision & Roadmapping
• Product Vision: Defining and communicating the overall product vision and strategy.
• Roadmap Development: Creating and updating the product roadmap to align with business goals and stakeholder needs.
• Long-term Planning: Balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic goals.

Continuous Improvement
• Learning and Development: Keeping up with industry trends and best practices to enhance the product and process.
• Process Optimization: Implementing changes to improve team efficiency and product delivery.
• Cultivate relationships with key partners to identify opportunities to leverage GenAI/ML innovations and capabilities to transform operational processes.

Reporting & Metrics
• Monitoring Progress: Development, tracking and reporting on program metrics and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Using data and analytics to make informed decisions about product direction and prioritization.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
