Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's data ecosystem is robust, secure, and capable of supporting data-driven ambitions. Design, create, deploy, and manage an organization's data architecture. Define how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing data.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and define the enterprise data strategy aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and flexible data architecture for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate data initiatives with business needs.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement cutting-edge data technologies, focusing on Snowflake as the primary data warehouse.
  • Oversee data integration across systems and departments, supporting real-time and batch processing.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python and SQL to design and implement optimized data solutions.
  • Architect and deploy optimized data solutions, including data models, data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses, and integration pipelines, to ensure seamless data delivery for business consumption.
  • Create and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes using industry-standard ETL/ELT tools to support diverse data flows.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, latest technologies and trends in data architecture
  • Work closely with IT teams, data scientists, and data analysts to ensure system consistency.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field required. Master’s degree or advanced certifications preferred.
  • Over 5+ years of expertise in data management, including 2+ years as a Data Architect, delivering innovative solutions and driving transformative initiatives.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), and/or Snowflake SnowPro certifications (Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Data Engineer, Snowflake SnowPro)


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with various data architecture patterns, including data warehouse, data mesh, data vault, and data lakehouse, to address modern analytics needs.
  • Experience in developing detailed data models and ERDs, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, enabling robust data structuring and optimization.
  • Skilled in leveraging industry-standard tools such as Erwin, SQL DBM, Lucidchart, and ER/Studio for designing scalable data models.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL and Python, with proven capabilities in data ingestion, querying, extraction, and transformation.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with leading data platforms, including Snowflake, to architect and implement high-performance solutions.
  • Solid understanding of modern data and integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architectures, streaming, and ELT/ETL workflows
  • Experienced in implementing comprehensive data governance frameworks and deploying data catalog solutions to enhance data quality, security, and discoverability.
  • Proven leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving data initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills to present technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
