Major Responsibilities: Manages, coordinates, plans and participates in projects 2)Plans tasks and assignments 3)Provides status reports 4)Understands project objectives, how Advocate Health Care and IS strategies are supported and how the project will help clients meet short and long term objectives 1)Participates in projects with supervision Provides analytical, technical and problem resolution services 1)Provides analytical, technical and/or product knowledge 2)Resolves straightforward problems 3)Provides support for a functional area 4)Monitors system effectiveness and/or performance, identifies potential problems 5)Conducts routine requirements definition, design, configuration and installation 6)Assists in complex projects 7)Challenges current processes and looks to introduce new methods or processes 8)Identifies CQI project initiatives and means for systems to help clients support CQI needs 9)Develops routine test plans. Participates in the execution of tests 10)Develops and maintains the ability to guide group discussions, maintain stated objectives and challenge solutions that offer little benefit to staff or the organization. Develops, implements and adheres to policies, procedures and standards 1)Follows procedures and standards for implementations, support and purchase of hardware and software 2)Maintains organized working papers 3)Prepares documentation and assures all project documentation is complete Establishes and maintains positive customer relationships 1)Manages client expectations with direction from supervisor and maintains positive customer relationships 2)Provides quality customer service 3)Alerts supervisor of conflicting customer demands 4)Monitors adherence to stated expectations and client satisfaction with service level agreements 5)Promotes customer relations within IS Provides business services to assigned facilities and system wide service lines 1)Assists with evaluation of products 2)Assists with feasibility studies and documents problem alternatives 3)Assists with developing business plans, RFIs, and RFP’s to support system selections 4)Assists with conducting post implementation audits to assure system effectiveness and successful fulfillment of client objectives 5)Participates in business process reengineering Develops staff 1)Recognizes other staff efforts 2)Recognizes own limitations and seeks technical and functional guidance as needed 3)Shares new knowledge with staff 4)Trains clients- Works effectively within a team Maintains awareness of health care environment and information systems technology. 1)Identifies possible impact on projects 2)Continually improves technical and professional skills 3)Maintains a thorough knowledge of business operations Education/Experience Required: BA/BS in Business or Computer Science or equiv experience Novell System Administrator certificate is a plus; and 2+ yrs experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; technical, analytical, and problem solving skills; good team player; and customer service orientation. N/A Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Extensive travel to Advocate sites is required: and occasional out-of-town travel is required.24 hour/7 day a week on-call support is required. Pay Range

$30.15 - $45.25
