Our challenge

We are looking for a Lead Python Developer who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable Python applications, mentor junior developers, and ensure code quality through testing and reviews, while staying current with industry trends.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is $130k - $135k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions using Python programming language and related frameworks.

• Recognize the client’s needs and implement the functional requirements in accordance with them.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and create technical specifications.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software development best practices and standards.

• Test, debug, and troubleshoot software applications to ensure reliability, performance, and security.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, and technologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience as Python Developer

• Experience with Python frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, Bottle)

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST API

• Must have good experience in databases and SQL

• Knowledge of JavaScript and the AngularJS framework is a plus

• Attention to detail.
