Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$149,600.00 - $246,800.00

What Is the Opportunity?

The Travelers Digital Analytics team collects data via common digital analytics platforms and then constructs data pipelines that provide data to internal and external partners to consume. As a Digital Analytics Senior Director, you will accelerate growth and transformation of our digital analytics landscape. In this role, you will lead teams designing and building solutions that capture, explore, transform, and utilize data to support Artificial Intelligence, business intelligence/insights, and dynamic user experiences. In addition to ingesting data from multiple sources and relaying information to relevant partners, you will also mentor and develop a team of digital analytics professionals.

What Will You Do?

  • Lead development, configuration, and/or maintenance within digital analytic platforms like Tealium, Google Analytics, OneTrust, ObservePoint, and other relevant platforms.
  • Support the creation of digital data products within our cloud environments.
  • Execute data strategies to support various consumption patterns and identify enterprise architecture, platform, and application infrastructure needs.
  • Drive the operationalizing and automating of all capabilities to ensure secure, supported and scalable solutions.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to help influence management and executive leadership decisions.
  • Guide and coach senior team members to accelerate career development.
  • Establish budgets, policies and practices with significant impact on area operations.
  • Define, prioritize and ensure a ready backlog of work for 1-2 complex cross-functional product team(s), accept final product output, focusing on achievement of defined outcomes as well as how the work is completed.
  • Define team goals and strategy, ensuring alignment with circle and value stream vision; Articulate team goals and strategy effectively to key stakeholders, Circle Leads, Value Stream Leads, and team members.
  • Act as voice of the end-user; have a deep understanding of, anticipate, and proactively seek customer feedback ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined; ensure team work product meets defined acceptance criteria.
  • Stay up-to-date on the industry, competition and current trends to inform and influence requirements. 
  • Collaborate with Tech/Data Governance, Architecture, and Legal partners to ensure that regulatory obligations for privacy/consent (e.g., CPRA, PIPEDA, GDPR, etc.) are being followed for domestic and international digital properties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field or equivalent
  • Eight or more years of related work experience
  • Four or more years of team leadership experience
  • Subject matter expertise in data tools, techniques, and manipulation including cloud platforms, programming languages, and technology platforms.
  • Four years of experience in Agile product management preferred.
  • Five years of experience articulating and translating business strategy, product vision, and analysis for a product preferred.
  • Product Mindset: Focus on defining a product value proposition that aligns with and supports the circle/value stream objectives and which is the north star for the team.

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training with data tools, techniques, and manipulation.
  • Six years of data engineering or equivalent experience
  • One year of previous management experience.
