C.H Robinson is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer on our RMS Analytics team where you will be accountable for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions to improve business operations. You will be responsible for assessing business processes, anticipating requirements, and identifying areas for improvement. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will cultivate queries and presents information through reports and visualizations.

This position is open to candidates located in Minneapolis, Chicago, or Kansas City.  At C.H. With the flexibility for remote work one day a week, this role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomy. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analyze, design, develop, document, test, and deploy BI solutions
  • Translate data into meaningful operational insights
  • Enhance and support existing solutions
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Create engaging visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Maintain and support the analytics platform
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Implement best practices for optimum use, performance, and maintainability
  • Present and deliver analytical value through business intelligence and collaboration
  • Network by building relationships and consulting to bring solutions to life
  • Collaborate with internal analytical teams to develop predictive solutions in tandem
  • Partner with internal departments to better understand drivers of trends and impact of business changes
  • Assist in developing innovative solutions and insights from data that will allow C.H. Robinson to improve supply chain services
  • Advocate and help build data-fueled products that help our global customers and partners improve business outcomes
  • Collaborate with leadership, develops, and maintains robust platform and lead optimization reporting and analytics
  • Create, document, and maintain project related plans, process flows, and metrics
  • Help to communicate project progress and facilitate project-related meetings to meet deliverables and escalate when needed quickly as necessary
  • Engage with the customer on identifying and prioritizing areas of analysis and opportunity globally
  • Assist in supporting the customer account base, ensuring prompt response to customer inquiries and follow through on issues until resolution to customer satisfaction
  • Clearly translates and communicates Intermediate concepts into understandable, professional presentations
  • Demonstrate Intermediate knowledge on existing reports, and develops additional custom reports using business knowledge
  • Work closely with Reporting resources to build key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis
  • Influence on other reports being built, may be a SME to help guide new report creation 
  • Utilize internal reporting, database querying, and applicable tools, such as Power BI and Tableau to develop processes to track and analyze current focus areas
  • Cultivate a positive working relationship for all team members 
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

  •  2+ years of analytics experience developing business solutions using comprehensive, robust data assets
  • 2+ years of experience with Power BI, Power Query, and SQL
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Logistics and supply chain experience
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, and strong working proficiency with the broader MS Office Suite of programs
  • Strong understanding of data fundamentals and passion for data integrity, testing, and validation
  • Experience working with product teams in an iterative environment
  • Positive, collaborative working style
  • Effective communicator and data/reporting/business liaison through multiple mediums
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment

Compensation Range

$79,800.00 - $124,300.00
