Front is seeking a strategic and technically strong Head of Data to spearhead our company-wide analytics initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be the linchpin of our data strategy, driving data reliability, optimizing reporting, and delivering actionable insights that directly fuel revenue growth and strategic business decisions. This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco HQ, demanding a hands-on leader who can independently manage and expand our data capabilities with a strong focus on GTM and business performance.
What will you be doing?
Lead the data engineering and analytics function, serving as the primary point of contact for data-related initiatives, with a particular focus on driving GTM and business analytics
Own the context of the business data, ensuring data integrity and consistency and alignment across all departments
Design and implement sophisticated dashboards and reporting solutions tailored for executive audiences, providing clear and actionable insights into GTM performance and overall business health
Drive the development of GTM analytics, marketing analytics, and comprehensive business analytics to support strategic decision-making and revenue optimization
Own the connectivity between finance and revenue reporting, ensuring seamless data flow and alignment
Manage and collaborate with the data engineering team, ensuring efficient data pipeline development and maintenance
Partner with product, engineering, GTM and finance teams to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions
Address key challenges related to cross-team connectivity, data reliability and reporting optimization
Serve as a technical leader, working with and optimizing our data tech stack, including SQL, Python, Snowflake, Mode and Omni
Act as a player-coach for your team, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution, balancing a collaborative and high-performance environment
What skills and experience do you need?
10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with a strong emphasis on GTM and business analytics, preferably within a B2B software, growth-focused environment
Proven experience in GTM data strategy and delivering impactful business analytics insights
Strong technical background with expertise in SQL, Python, Snowflake, and related data technologies
Experience with BI tools like Mode and Omni
Demonstrated ability to build and manage robust data pipelines and reporting solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead a technical team and translate complex data into actionable strategies
This is a hybrid role, expected to be in our SF office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
