As a Senior Data Scientist, you will leverage AI/ML techniques to solve complex problems across credit risk, fraud detection, business optimization, collections, and customer service. You will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end model lifecycle—from development and validation to implementation, monitoring, and updates. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will drive data-driven decision-making and innovation.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AI/ML models to address business challenges across various functions.
- Own the complete model lifecycle, including building, validating, deploying, monitoring, and refining models.
- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Expertise in AI/ML: Strong experience in developing supervised and unsupervised learning models using structured and unstructured data. Experience with risk scorecards, propensity models, optimization, NLP, etc.
- Advanced Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python (mandatory) and SQL for data processing and model development.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong logical reasoning, analytical skills, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and taking ownership of complex challenges.
- Mentorship Ability: Experience in guiding and training junior data scientists.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or model development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Operations Research from a Tier 1 institution.
- Hands-on experience in the financial domain, with expertise in developing models for risk assessment, fraud detection, or related areas.
