Position Title: Global Cost Engineering Data Specialist
Job Summary :
The Global Supplier Cost and Tooling Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Global Cost Engineering Data Specialist to join our team in India. This role will focus on developing and maintaining cloud-based cost factor data systems, API programming, data automation, and integrating data engineering principles to enhance our cost engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data analysis, and experience working with cloud technologies, with a keen interest in cost engineering principles.
Job Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data systems to manage cost factors data across global projects.
- Develop and integrate APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between AGCO systems.
- Automate data workflows using ETL tools and scripts to streamline data mining, gathering and processing.
- Implement end to end data pipelines to ensure real-time data availability for cost engineering applications.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing robust documentation and data governance policies.
- Analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights that inform cost engineering decisions.
- Develop data visualizations to present findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Work closely with the global cost engineering and purchasing teams to integrate data-driven insights into data leads, project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions to enhance data management and analysis capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications (if applicable include physical requirements to comply with ADA
Must- Bachelors or Masters in either Computer or Data Science, Mathematics or Statistics. Minimum 3 years of hands-on work experience as data engineer building data pipelines and cloud database for global systems and cross-functional teams. At least one certification in Database, Data Analytics and Cloud services (AWS, Azure or Google). Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Desired- Some experience of regression modelling and building predictive and forecasting machine learning models.
Awareness of online data sources of cost factor data such as raw materials, labour and overheads is preferable.
Proven track record of cross-functional project management.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes is a strong plus.
