Digital Consultants are responsible for establishing the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Digital standards, technology, best practices and life-cycle. Role responsibilities include fully enabling dynamic analytics and the digital vision within Mayo’s digital supply chain. 
Role will be responsible for evaluating business processes, making recommendations and improving processes using digital standards and technology. Consultants will make significant contributions to supporting cost containment and supply chain optimization for the Practice, orchestrating supply management analytics initiatives, process automation and bringing innovation to Mayo Clinic. Additionally, Consultants will train, advise and mentor SCM staff to fully enable an end-to-end digital supply chain.
Individuals in this role will be respected as an expert in SCM analytics and digital. The role is expected to have a strong SCM background, with expertise in digital technology, including modern Analytics, Process Automation, Advanced Programming Interfaces and Product Management. Consultants need to be skilled in process improvement, innovation, agile development and project management.
Role responsibilities include being a member of the SCM Digital team to sustain long-term goals through consultation, process leadership and digital transformation. Members of the Digital team must stay abreast of current industry trends and establish new methodologies for data driven processes and digital enablement. Additionally, Consultants on the team will be responsible for maintaining the Digital Portfolio, advising on strategic initiatives and tracking the value.
This position requires a significant background in analytics, supply chain, healthcare clinical and financial information systems, data management, process automation and strategy. Individual must be highly articulate in both oral and written communications, including presentations, with the ability to logically translate and disseminate technology insights to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Incumbent must have ability to manage a varied workload of projects with multiple priorities and stay current on supply chain healthcare trends and enterprise changes. Strong interpersonal skills such as presentation, negotiation, persuasion, and written communications skills are required. 

Strong time management skills also are required. In addition, the position requires strong analytical skills, consulting skills, and a commitment to customer service. Experience with data modeling and date exploration tools including but not limited to SQL, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, Google Big Query, and UiPath is preferred.

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience in health care, analytics, business, supply chain or information systems; certifications may be considered in lieu of experience; Or, Master's degree in health care, data management, data science, information systems or business with 5 years' relevant experience in noted areas; certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to function independently required. Demonstrated oral communication skills required.
• Highly developed understanding of SCM end-to-end business processes; including strong understanding of master item and other product data.
• Demonstrated abilities in business process improvement, innovation and planning. 
• Experience building SCM Analytics with advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience using Alteryx, Tableau, R Studio, Python or similar tools. 
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a team environment and develop constructive working relationships with others.
• Demonstrated abilities in developing strong relationships with customers, physicians, clinicians, executives and vendors in order to facilitate and enhance SCM best business practices.
• Strong investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Solid customer-service and/or business consulting skills. 
• Capable of being persuasive and able lead teams through significant change.
