National Grid is hiring a AI Data Science Learning Specialist - This position can be based from our Warwick or London office. Hybrid Working model.

Job Purpose

 

As the AI Academy Learning Specialist, you will support the execution, logistics, and engagement efforts for National Grid’s Data & AI Academy. This academy is designed to upskill employees, specialists, and leaders in AI and data-related competencies. You will assist in course creation, curation, rollout, tracking, communication, and stakeholder coordination.

 

This is an ideal role for someone with strong organizational skills, experience in learning & development, education, AI/data, or corporate training, and an interest in shaping the future of AI education within a leading energy company.

What you'll do

 

  • Support the rollout and operations of the Data & AI Academy, ensuring a seamless learning experience for employees.
  • Assist in course content creation and curation by coordinating with subject matter experts, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage Learning Management System (LMS) logistics, including course setup, enrollments, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Coordinate marketing and engagement activities to promote AI and data courses across the organization.
  • Facilitate communications through email, intranet updates, Microsoft Teams, and Viva Engage to raise awareness of AI training opportunities.
  • Track and report on program performance, gathering feedback from participants and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support AI training events, workshops, and community-of-practice sessions, ensuring effective execution and engagement.
  • Work closely with the AI Academy Lead, L&D teams, data science teams, and external training providers to align academy offerings with business needs

About you

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Learning & Development, Data Science, AI, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience and understanding of Python.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience in program coordination or training initiatives.
  • Experience working with LMS platforms or e-learning technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into accessible learning materials.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working with multiple stakeholders across different teams.
  • Knowledge of AI, data science, and technology-driven learning initiatives is required.
  • Background in education, training, management, or consulting is preferred but not required.

What you'll get

 

A competitive salary– £55,000- £65,000 DOE

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
