Job Description:

Global Markets(GM) is enhancing its data management capabilities. This includes executing a strong data architecture program. This role will play a pivotal part in driving these enhancements and their ongoing sustainment. The role requires a strategic approach to developing and implementing data architecture strategy and managing Data risks, combining global and business priorities with regional requirements. It also requires partnering with stakeholders in GM and the rest of the Enterprise to drive enhancements to architecture, regulatory adherence and data risk mitigation, enhance operational excellence and meet GM’s goal to be the best-in-class. The role will cover the aggregation and provisioning of data concerning the Global Markets business through Authorized Data Sources and their proxies. Driving a structured and efficient architecture strategy while enabling the business is a key focus of this role as is supporting GM leadership in making informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Partner with the GM Data Management Executives, GM Technology leads and Line of Business in the design of a strong Data Architecture program. Execute programs for successful implementation and sustainability
  • Transform GM’s data strategy into executable plans and oversee completion. Adapt strategy according to near-term priorities and long-term roadmap
  • Ensure that data schemas and mappings in strategic provisioning points are clearly, unambiguously, agreed, documented, and observed.
  • Document, own and execute the architecture oversight process as well and any related risk areas
  • Partner with the Data Steward Executive and Data Domain Manager to execute GM’s data architecture while ensuring related policy adherence
  • Regular engagement with stakeholders for review of areas impacting GM data risks
  • Engage in annual initiative and regulatory funding cycle for GM, partnering to ensure key data strategy priorities are reviewed as part of the cycle for appropriate prioritization
  • Engage in audits, regulatory exams and target assessment, as required
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards along with evidence of compliance
  • Establish and execute on a structured channel to review GM processes so that they remain adherent to relevant requirements
  • Escalate risks to programs. Partner with key stakeholders and develop solutions and deliver mitigating actions in support of successful completion of the program
  • Develop strong relationships to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s or MS degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience in risk programs; Experience in similar role (preferred)
  • Prior experience in roles in data architecture or policy implementation and adherence
  • Demonstrate structured approach to execution and result driven approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to simplify and summarize complex data priorities / technical concepts to executive stakeholders
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, work-intensive organization and be able to adapt to changing priorities while delivering with high accuracy
  • Passion for building a culture of collaboration and team-work
  • Experience with dealing with complexity of Global data issues and regulations
  • Understands GM business and products and can take ownership of delivery
  • Ability to operate independently and collaborate across wide span of stakeholders including bankers, senior leaders, risk partners and regulators / auditors
  • Control focused mindset and good understanding of regulatory and reputational risks

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$175,000.00 - $400,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
