Data Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Strategy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with data, uncovering insights, and contributing to data-driven decision-making. 

 
The Essentials 

• Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and web scraping; familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and other technical tools. 

• Data Cleaning and Preparation: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by addressing issues like missing values, errors, and inconsistencies.  

• Data Analysis: Apply statistical techniques and tools to analyze data, identify trends, and uncover insights.  

• Data Visualization: Present findings in a clear and compelling manner using charts, graphs, and dashboards.  

• Report Generation: Create reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support business decision-making processes. 

• Database Management: Assists in the design, maintenance and optimization databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility. Identify and address data-related issues and challenges.  

• Cross-Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions; collaborates with other business units to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights. Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals. 

• Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision. Demonstrate accountability, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines; familiarity with Agile practices. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. 

• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis and advanced Excel  

• Solid understanding of statistical methods and their real-world applications 

• Must possess experience of working with Power BI tools and systems; ability to build rich dashboards, write DAX expressions. 

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) 

• Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) is a plus 

• Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud 

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences 

• A problem-solver mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively 

• Previous experience in related projects or internships is a must.  

Must Have 

• Internship or project experience involving real-world data analytics 

• Knowledge of data engineering basics or cloud-based data tools
