Job Description:

Applied AI Scientist to develop and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions to enhance the effectiveness and scalability of critical supply chain and project engineering processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks, transform multi people and multi department business processes and engineering challenges into automation opportunities, and deliver high-impact solutions. Design mathematical optimization models and implement AI tools to achieve real-time decision-making in dynamic logistics scenarios while reducing costs, ensuring compliance with complex constraints, and increasing efficiency. Focus on rapid prototyping, stakeholder feedback integration, and scalable AI implementation, taking full ownership of the AI development lifecycle – from defining objectives/challenges, selecting frameworks, building models and data schemas, evaluating performance, and deploying production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement AI algorithms to optimize multimodal supplier allocations, improving scalability and minimizing landed costs.
  • Design and deploy optimization models to ensure compliance with supplier commitments, capacity constraints, sourcing policies, and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business/engineering needs into technical solutions and improve logistics/engineering workflows.
  • Build an application with user interface to enable scenario simulations and rapid allocation adjustments in response to real-time supply chain fluctuations.
  • Develop LLM-based tools to extract and interpret requirements from engineering documents and validate NCU plans and mapping files, reducing errors and time spent on reworks due to quality issues.
  • Prototype software to analyze site/stow CAD drawing files and automate parameter assignment for NCUs/SPCs, wind/flood/GHI sensors, and channels while respecting configuration restrictions.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D in engineering related field
  • 5+ years professional and research related projects
