The Associate Director, Master Data Management (EMEA/ AP/ Americas/ ExM) leads a team of 4-8 employees who are responsible for Master Data Maintenance: Creation, Change, Extensions and support activities in S/4 HANA, SAP MDG and planning systems. He/She will collaborate with stakeholders throughout SCM and other functions to build a stable framework for data management according to global SOPs.

They will manage a team that is responsible for implementing supply chain data in support of daily business and according the short and medium term divisional and functional objectives and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Data Specialists and SMEs: The Associate Director, MDM is a people-manager with the ability to develop the individual team members and the team as a whole, driving continuous improvement, with strong leadership qualities, interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, and the ability to anticipate and solve problems. The manager is responsible for people management activities, including developing the individual team members and the team as a whole.

  • Acts as primary master data contact for their responsible region/ function (EMEA/ AP/ Americas/ ExM) and manages the master data needs of their supply chain stakeholders and other stakeholders in manufacturing sites, Quality and COSI. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate and on time material master data set up, addressing and mitigating bottleneck situations, engaging in master data improvements in the supply chain, connecting the various nodes of the supply chain and facilitating an end-to-end data process. 

  • The incumbent will be responsible for SCM data qualification, analysis, maintenance, accuracy and change control in regards to material master as well as driving improvements to increase efficiency and master data quality

  • Support continuous improvement activities and strategic initiatives: The Associate Director, Supply Operations will support and initiate continuous master data improvement and strategic activities both within their responsible area and in the end-to-end supply chain.

  • The incumbent will represent Master Data Management, and enable the required master data for various projects: such as ERP roll outs, Network and FSC changes, acquisitions and business deals.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Management or a related field such as Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain is preferred

  • Certification in APICS CPIM or CSCMP is an advantage

Skills Required:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably in pharmaceutical environment   

  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of Supply Chain Management

  • Demonstrated experience and competence with SCM processes and related data sets

  • Highly organized profile, proactive with a problem solving mind set

  • Strong English communication skills written and verbally

  • Awareness of business and industry dynamics and regulation

  • Capable of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong SAP and MS Office experience

  • Experience in Supply Chain Environment as Information/ Master data, Supply Network Planning, Distribution or Manufacturing processes is mandatory

Competencies required for the role:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both operational personnel as well as senior leaders

  • Strong leadership skills, ability to manage a team of 4-8 professionals

  • Ability to think End-to-End when analyzing problems and resolving project conflicts

  • Willingness to be flexible and to work in a rapidly changing environment

  • Independent and takes ownership
