What you will do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Quality Scientist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will support the development of data quality projects to meet our customers organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of State.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, document, implement, provide consultation on identification of data quality problems
Collect, analyze and validate data quality performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs. Works under general direction.
Conduct data analysis using various technologies (i.e., Python)
Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions using data visualization software (i.e., Tableau, Power BI)
Maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff to perform engagement services
Ensure data governance and quality assurance standards are met
Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items
Summarize and present information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written).
What You Will Need::
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
Bachelor's Degree
FIVE (5) or more years of professional experience INCLUDING THREE (3) or more years of experience in data quality profiling and/or data engineering, with a focus on processing large datasets
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Master's Degree in computer science, data science or related field
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data management principles
TWO (2) or more years of experience with US Federal Agency
Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.
Experience working in a cross-functional team.
Experience working with senior and executive leadership
Thorough business understanding of data management applications and ability to communicate with key decision-makers
