Senior Engineer Data Operations

Position Summary: 

• Responsible for deployment, management, and monitoring of data products, data and AI/ML models, and processes;

• Performs Quality checks to ensure validity of the end product;

• Creates scalable and flexible environments for data pipelining, from design to development and monitoring;

• Application of data ingestion, profiling, processing, quality, and parallel processing and technologies;

• Routine application of cloud service concepts (Azure/AWS/Google);

• Executes full software development life cycle (SDLC) and/or deliver pipelining solutions from development to production;

• Develops and deploys custom API frameworks;

• Monitors different types of data and distributed systems to resolve complex data issues;

• Application of networking concepts and system integration.

Required Minimum Position Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field of study; and 2 years of experience in the job offered, or any related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Alternate Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field of study; and 5 years of experience in the job offered, or any related occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Position also requires demonstrated experience in the following:

• Version control, unit testing, containerization, and Cl/CD;

• Data ingestion, profiling, processing, quality, and parallel processing and technologies;

• Integration and techniques of date pipelines;

• Data Visualization, metrics, and analytics;

• Application of networking concepts and system integration such as Cloud services (Azure/AWS/Google);

• SQL, Python, Java, and R along with other object - oriented concepts;

• Full software development life cycle (SDLC) and deliver pipelining solutions from development to production.

100% remote position. May work remotely or telecommute to company HQ in Norfolk, VA.

Salary: $144,602/year
