Summary : 

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Data Engineering and Visualization to lead our data management and visualization initiatives. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, ETL processes, cloud technologies, and data visualization tools. This role will oversee a team responsible for leveraging Teradata, DataStage, SSIS, AWS, Tableau, and Spotfire to transform data into actionable insights. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership and Management: 

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers and visualization specialists. 

• Set strategic direction for data initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals. 

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 

Data Engineering: 

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouses and ETL processes using Teradata, DataStage, and SSIS. 

• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all platforms. 

• Optimize data pipelines and workflows for efficiency and scalability. 

Cloud Technologies: 

• Manage the deployment and maintenance of data solutions on AWS. 

• Ensure effective use of AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, and RDS to support data initiatives. 

• Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to manage cloud infrastructure. 

Data Visualization: 

• Lead the development and implementation of data visualizations using Tableau and Spotfire. 

• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective visualization solutions. 

• Ensure the delivery of user-friendly dashboards and reports to drive data-driven decision-making. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

• Work closely with business units, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions. 

• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Proven experience in managing data engineering and visualization teams. 

• Extensive experience with Teradata, DataStage, SSIS, AWS, Tableau, and Spotfire. 

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and cloud technologies. 

• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud. 

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
