Engineering Manager - GTD - BLR

Engineering ManagerWe’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of software engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure the successful execution of projects. This role requires a balance of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
What You’ll Do:

• Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and grow an engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Handle performance reviews, conflict resolution, and career progression.
• Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end software development, ensuring timely and high-quality releases. Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies to optimize workflows.
• Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on architecture, best practices, and code quality. Stay updated with emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Strategic Planning: Align engineering goals with business objectives, advocate for necessary tools, technology investments, and training programs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to define project scope, priorities, and deliverables. Effectively communicate project updates to senior management.
• Resource & Budget Management: Optimize resource allocation, participate in hiring, and manage engineering budgets efficiently.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7-12 years of hands on Experience in Proven experience leading software engineering teams, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
• Proficiency in hands-on experience with high-level backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Golang) and frontend programming languages like JavaScript (good to have), along with an understanding of when to use the right technology for the right problem.
• Deep technical expertise in software development, architecture, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in budget management and resource planning in a tech environment.
