As a Senior Data Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the analysis, operation and maintenance of the Data Management processes; creation of new data processes to meet business data requirements; ingestion of new alternative sources of data and delivery against data quality standards.
Your focus will be across the end to end lifecycle of data management. You will proactively drive, govern and strive to improve our agile execution processes in pursuit of our data’s accuracy, integrity, completeness, conformity and consistency.

As part of the data CCDS team, you'll:

  • Responsible for the end to end operational management of cloud data platform, adhering to required data management and governance practices, measured against the attainment of business defined data and platform KPIs
  • Utilise a variety of database query and visualisation tools to identify and analyse data quality issues or trends
  • Provide technical expertise in extraction, integration, and analysis of critical data
  • Design and deliver iterative velocity reporting metrics and dashboards
  • Managing the day to day relationship with our data vendors, understanding performance of vendors to highlight areas of concern and performance
  • Own test case scenarios, prepare test data and perform Data Ops User Acceptance testing as platform functionality evolves
  • Profiling and documenting new suppliers under the Commercial Credit Data Sharing Scheme; owning Data Operation’s responsibilities in the acquisition process and complete onboarding of new suppliers before it becomes operationalized
  • Identify improvements in vendor processes, internal data management models, matching improvements, signal inference and gaining maximum value from vendors
  • Develop a continuous improvement philosophy within the team, with a drive to reach and exceed, agreed, measurable KPI targets
  • Work in partnership with other Data, Technology & Project to understand their needs, solve complex issues and align to strategic business objectives and goals  

About you:

  • Robust data knowledge preferably around business data sets with proven analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstratable in-depth knowledge and experience of SQL, Python and database querying languages
  • Familiar with XML and JSON data structures
  • Strong data visualisation skills. Hands on experience with Power BI essential.
  • Proven complex problem solver
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management. 
  • Diligent, inquisitive with an eye for detail
  • Process improvement and documentation experience
  • Proficient in MS-Office with strong Excel skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • An innovative and inspirational approach
  • Self-motivation with the desire to learn new techniques – relentlessly curious – positive team player
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Engineer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science field, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
