Senior C++ Engineer – Autonomous Driving Experience (m/w/d)

Your mission

• Development and optimization of algorithms for 3D tracking of multiple UAVs, including motion and sensor models
• Selection and evaluation of tracking approaches to stably track multiple targets simultaneously
• Development of a modular sensor fusion framework and integration of relevant hardware
• Collaboration with the computer vision and acoustics team, whose detections you use for your tracking
• Pursuing current research in the field of multi-object tracking and deriving practical approaches
• Ensuring the overall quality of the tracking and detection pipeline

Your profile

• Must have:
• Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, physics or a comparable field
• Relevant experience with C++, ideally in complex systems
• Experience with math/optimization frameworks such as Eigen, Ceres or GTSAM
• Knowledge of ROS or ROS2
• Experience with OpenCV or comparable image processing
• Structured, clean programming and focus on software quality

• Experience with Rust
• Experience with sensor fusion, tracking or SLAM
• Experience with real-time or embedded systems

• Intrinsic motivation and willingness to go the extra mile, as well as attention to detail
• Creativity that thinks outside the box as well as conceptual and systematic design thinking and disciplined execution
