Head of Data Delivery EMEA

The Head of Data Delivery for EMEA will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of data capabilities and solutions that support the key objectives of EMEA countries and Lines of Business. This role will ensure that data solutions meet business requirements and prioritize data delivery across the region.
The successful candidate will drive the adoption of data solutions within the business and foster collaboration with EMEA regional and local teams, including transformation and technology, to align with their strategies, roadmaps, and priorities. Additionally, the role will involve working closely with the analytics function to understand both tactical and strategic analytical needs, ensuring that data delivery is tailored accordingly.
A key aspect of this role will be to establish a strong partnership with the Global Data Office at both the delivery and strategy levels, ensuring alignment and effective execution of data initiatives. The Head of Data Delivery will also support the development and communication of the EMEA Data Strategy, effectively storytelling to stakeholders. Leading the Data Product Owners and data delivery teams, this role will ensure timely data delivery that meets Chubb's standards and aligns with the overall data strategy. The ideal candidate will possess experience in large Data & Analytics Transformation programs, demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset, strong technical and data acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, ensuring clear decisions and outcomes are understood by diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Head of Technology & Transformation EMEA and Global Data Officer to formulate, communicate, and implement a multi-year strategic analytics roadmap that aligns with desired outcomes.
- Play a leading strategic role about the collection, manipulation, and analysis of data for various business, regions and country teams
- Create new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner.
- Strives to improve the quality of data solutions on a consistent basis.
- Be a change agent that embraces and drives continuous improvement and change efforts at both an organizational and individual level and ensures the successful adoption of improvements/changes
- Builds and manages a team across the work streams to realize their full potential and ensure successful delivery of the team objectives. This may include direct and indirect project team members.
- Nurtures a positive environment, fostering new ideas and developing individual talent across the wider team, ensuring appropriate performance targets and development plans are in place
- Ensures the right culture and behaviours are promoted and communicated. Acts as a role model for the team and the senior leadership team.
- Collaborate across teams to build strong, trusting partnerships and help to develop, motivate, retain, and recruit talent to build and support high-performing teams
- Develop impeccable credibility and trust both internal and externally in the area of program management, execution, and governance
- Track, manage, mitigate, and communicate risks, issues, and status as it relates to our global data transformational goals, strategic initiatives, and processes to various levels of management
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written that clearly and concisely communicates concepts to varying levels of the organization
- Energetic, self-starter who can independently multi-task across many different complex strategic programs to drive multiple deliverables concurrently
- Creative problem solver with the ability to quickly identify and resolve errors through collaborative solutions
- Data-driven decision maker; able to complete thorough research and investigation, yet quickly make decisions and present findings
- Capable of working collaboratively with leaders and business partners
- Strong practitioner level experience in enterprise wide data and analytics applications , platforms and processes
- Commercial acumen to quantify business benefits for a data and analytics solution.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as a data and analytics leader
- Experience in insurance or similar industry in utilizing a consultative approach to understand business needs
- Successfully Implemented enterprise-wide data architecture that connects disparate systems and create unified views across business lines and countries
- Experience leading data product teams using agile methodologies and overseeing the entire data product lifecycle
- Successfully transformed legacy data environments into modern, scalable platform leveraging contemporary data processing frameworks
- Proven ability to build and lead high performing data delivery teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence while managing resources effectively
- Demonstrated success in driving adoption of new data solutions across an organisation, effectively communicating benefits and overcoming resistance to change through stakeholder engagement and training
- Experience in working through structured frameworks, with business stakeholders, for assessing and selecting key priorities for investment and development
- Proven track record in leading large transformational efforts and demonstrating successful project management, leadership, and execution skills
- Experience working across business, technical, IT, Digital and Operations teams to influence decisions and drive outcomes
