We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Data and Automation Team in our IT Hub based in Sant Cugat, Spain.

 

In this role you will play a pivotal role in transforming our department into a more data-driven entity. You will have the opportunity to drive a culture of innovation, being the data expert working group to foster a competitive advantage for IT Infrastructure via data.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Assembling large, complex sets of data including re-designing data models for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
  • Build the foundation for data pipelines, ensuring a smooth data flow from multiple sources to enable IT. Infrastructure to make data-driven decisions by providing a unified and reliable data source.
  • Support partners and stakeholders with data-related technical issues.
  • Identify automated ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Drive IT user's adaptation of strategy and reporting of outcomes by providing actionable recommendations to Management and track & measure the impact of the implementation of the recommendations.
  • Participates in projects and contributes effectively as a team member on tasks of varied size and complexity to execute objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Computer Sciences, and other related courses.
  • Five years experience working in similar roles and have good understanding of data analytics and data engineering.
  • Fluent English (written and oral) is a must.
  • Proficiency on Data preparation, Data governance, Data visualizations, Monitoring data quality, Statistical analysis.
  • High proficiency in handling APls endpoint, extensive experience working with R, Python, SQL.
  • Ability to perform Cost-benefit analysis of potential Data Use Cases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation Skills.
  • Experience in working in/with agile teams and/or as a product owner is a plus.
