Job Summary

The SHI Services Principal Architect – Data & AI will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data and AI solutions for our company’s end customers and partners.  They will also serve as a thought leader in the Data & AI services practice.  This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and customer-facing consulting skills.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

 

  • Define and drive data modernization strategies, including cloud migration, analytics, and AI/ML adoption.
  • Capability to offer expert guidance to clients and partners regarding best practices for deploying Power BI and Fabric solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership in data engineering, AI/ML, data governance, and cloud platforms
  • Mentor and coach technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of the Data & AI services practice including building reusable delivery frameworks, defining engagement best practices and creating content for Sales and Delivery.
  • Establish and govern professional services best practices for data governance, data security, and AI ethics.
  • Provide thought leadership through presentations, whitepapers, and industry engagements.
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Drive the growth of professional services revenue by identifying and pursing Data & AI focused opportunities
  • Develop and deliver a world-class professional services experience

Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s, Technical degree or related work experience in Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility
  • Extensive experience in cloud platforms for data and AI workloads
  • Strong experience with big data technologies (Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, etc)
  • Expertise in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, Pytorch, Azure ML, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Fabric & Power BI

  • Proficiency with the design, implementation, migrations, and support of Microsoft Collaboration, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder solutions
  • Strong project time management and communication skills
  • Consultative approach to deploying enterprise architecture
  • Passion for technology
  • Expert and timely decision-making skills
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Receptive listening skills, with ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to travel to client sites upon reasonable request

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience of Architect services
  • Experience with delivering Artificial Intelligence solutions including:
  • Experience with delivering Data solutions including:
    • Machine Learning
    • Diverse Large Language Models (LLMs) including, but not limited to:
      • Claude
      • Gemini
      • ChatGPT
      • OpenAI
  • Experience with delivering Data solutions including:
    • Data Visualization
      • Power BI
      • Tableau
      • Qlik
      • Looker
      • Domo

Unique Requirements

  • Travel to customer sites, up to 10% annually

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
