Job Summary

A Data Engineer is responsible for developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems. They work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is accessible and optimized for performance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Build Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient data processing.
• Data Integration: Combine raw data from various sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats.
• Data Quality and Reliability: Implement methods to improve data reliability and quality.
• Data Analysis: Conduct complex data analysis and report on results.
• Collaboration: Work with stakeholders including data scientists, architects, and business teams to support data infrastructure needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. DBMS (database management) development experience. Experience with SalesForce and Tableau is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze raw data and develop insights.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

Example Duties:

• Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet business requirements.
• Building infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data.
• Developing analytical tools to provide actionable insights into key business metrics.
• Supporting data-related technical issues and assisting with data infrastructure needs.
• Responsible for end-to-end data flow management.
