A bit about the job:
We are recruiting for our Group Data Governance Lead who will work across the Aviva Group to set the guidelines and guardrails for all those using data. As the Group Data Governance Lead, you will be a key member of the Group Data Governance and Privacy team. You will have the scope and opportunity to drive improvements in data governance across the organisation. You will set standards, provide guidance, oversee, and influence the approach to data governance. You will develop and improve processes, frameworks, and tools that create value and reinforce the capability, culture, and mindset of our people towards managing data appropriately.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Broad understanding of the risks and opportunities associated with managing data throughout its lifecycle.
Hands-on experience in data management disciplines, including Critical Data Identification, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Reference Data Management, Data Retention, and Data Ethics.
Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders and peers, especially those who may not be data literate. Experience in a federated group environment is advantageous.
Experience with data management tools such as Informatica EDC, Axon, Collibra, Ataccama, or similar is beneficial.
Experience within the Financial Services sector or other regulated industries.

Starting salary between £85,000 - £95,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
