As a member of the Red Hat AI Inference engineering organization, you will play a strategic role in guiding and developing our agile culture, mindset and practices to ensure as an organization we collaborate and communicate effectively to enable us to continually improve our delivery of quality products and solutions to our customers and partners. You will develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at both the program and team levels, providing support and fostering collaboration to ensure strategic alignment to deliver successful outcomes. This includes supporting multiple teams with planning and prioritizing work, along with direct contribution to development projects at a senior level of ability.


What you will do

  • Champion Agile values and principles to promote business agility across the organization

  • Continuously implement and improve agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across the engineering teams

  • Partner with Agilists across Red Hat AI engineering to align and support potential Agile or continuous improvement strategic initiatives

  • Foster a trusting and psychologically safe environment to cultivate open, transparent and respectful discussion to help the organization identify problems and explore solutions

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering development and release practices to support process improvement and  develop enablement materials

  • Ability to deliver Agile training and coaching virtually and in person to a highly technical audience

  • Coach and empower engineering teams towards self-organization by adopting best practices across project planning including scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities 

  • Participate in status review meetings with project team members, product management, and customers

  • Model effective retrospectives to identify and address systemic impediments hindering team progress and drive continuous improvement

  • Guide teams in visualizing and managing their work collaboratively

  • Support new teams in formation, goal prioritization,  sprint commitment, and reviews

  • Improve communication for enhanced transparency and predictability.

  • Support teams by gathering insights from agile metrics eg. lead, cycle time, burn down, cumulative flow etc to identify gaps and opportunities to improve the development workflow

  • Mentor Product Management and Leadership to understand the value of backlog management and cultivating a proactive partnership and engagement with the engineering teams

What you will bring

  • A deep understanding of Agile principles, methodologies, metrics and organizational strategy as they apply to teams, programs, and organizations.

  • Indepth knowledge and experience working with agile and software tools especially Jira, and Confluence including workflows, issue types, agile metrics, generating dashboards, and Agile Boards

  • Ability to lead and facilitate effective Scrum events

  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering value to customers and partners

  • Experience delivering technical program enablement virtually and in person

  • Proven experience in developing and enabling Agile transformations aligned with organizational goals and stakeholder engagement across multiple programs and teams

  • Advanced coaching and facilitation skills to support teams in their Agile journey

  • Excellent communication, listening, and written skills for effective interaction and professional engagement
     

Certification, Education, and experience

  • Certifications we find helpful: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) , Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and a CSP or PMI-ACP or ICP-ACC and ICP-ATF

  • Recommend working towards CTC or ICF Accreditation

  • While degrees and certifications are valued, we are especially interested in candidates with 10 or more years as a successful Agile leader of teams or organizations

  • 6 or more years working with Agile teams is required

The salary range for this position is $170,770.00 - $281,770.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
