Description

Markons partner company is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to provide technical expertise in data applications, tools and services, in support of an Intelligence Customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in data management tools, applications, and services to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management solutions based on validated user and system requirements.
  • Refine and enhance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to improve data integration and automation.
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security protocols to optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Plan and coordinate security measures, including data integrity, backup systems, and database security.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • BS: 10-12 years of experience
    • MS: 8-10 years of experience
    • PhD: 5-7 years of experience
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to develop original concepts and theories.
  • Experience with technology design, adapting systems to meet user needs.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into total systems solutions that balance technical needs, schedules, and cost constraints.
  • Experience with:
    • ETL development (data processing automation)
    • Data modeling, transaction flow analysis, and risk analysis
    • Java, Python
    • AWS and AWS tool suite for data management optimization
  • Knowledge of enterprise data strategy, data governance, data architecture, metadata management, and performance measurement techniques.
  • Experience in full life-cycle software development projects.

    • Apache NiFi
    • Machine Learning (ML)

Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
