Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart’s data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empowers merchants and clients to make better, faster decisions for the business. 

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Research Team. In this role, you will support a wide range of survey research initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle, from proposal to report and insights delivery. You will handle daily survey data processing tasks, independently manage small to medium scale research projects, and provide quality inputs for analysis. The ideal candidate is passionate about quantitative research, excels at visualizing data and uncovering insights with confidence, and has a proven track record of providing analytical and data processing support using quantitative data. Furthermore, the ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in applying analytic techniques in primary research within a client-facing environment. What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Research Team, Account Management and Clients to ensure successful delivery of market research projects, meeting ISO and global data processing standards.
  • Lead execution on day-to-day requests for data analysis and manipulation of primary & secondary data to support Client and/or Internal requests.
  • Evaluate requests for data services, understanding the specific requirements of market research projects.
  • Advise on analytic approaches for surveys, leveraging a diverse array of quantitative research methodologies.
  • Prepare, plan, and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure deliverables are prepared and sent according to schedule.
  • Ensure data quality by checking datasets for logical consistency, reformatting, and redesigning them for downstream analysis.
  • Manipulate data into correct format for analysis purposes using Excel, SPSS, R, and/or other programs, including weighting and processing as relevant.
  • Function as the Analytics Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients and cross-functional partners, delivering expert guidance and insights to drive project success.
  • Proactively contribute by offering advice or suggestions for improvements and automation to enhance overall efficiency & delivery.
  • Perform other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Lead and/or support training programs (i.e., courses, webinars etc.) both internally and externally.
  • Develop and share best practices with colleagues, across departments, to continually improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our product offerings & processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics or related field.
  • 4-6 years of analytics background in market research in a client-facing role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with tools such as SAS, R, or Python.
    • Experience with descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to draw insights from data.
    • Strong general analytical skills using quantitative data.
    • Ability to create experimental designs (e.g., MaxDiff, Conjoint).
    • Experience designing and implementing interactive dashboards, models and simulators to accurately present complex data in a user-friendly format.
  • Analytic Techniques: Verbatim Coding, Weighting, Statistical testing, Correlation analysis, Factor analysis, Driver analysis, TURF analysis, Regression, MaxDiff, Conjoint and Discrete choice analysis, Data mining.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey the essence of complex analytical techniques succinctly in prose and graphics.
  • Familiarity with online data collection tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Decipher, etc.) is a plus.
  • Prior experience at an insights/analytics vendor, advertising agency, or on an ad sales research team is a plus.
  • Leadership and mentorship experience a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00
