Publishing.com seeks a talented Marketing Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the bridge between raw marketing data and actionable business insights that drive our marketing strategy forward. Working directly with the Director of Marketing Operations, you will transform complex marketing datasets into clear, compelling narratives that inform decision-making and optimize campaign performance.
This position will collaborate closely with our business operations data team while maintaining a specialized focus on marketing analytics. You'll be instrumental in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators such as customer acquisition costs (CPAs), lifetime value (LTV), and return on ad spend (ROAS) across our various marketing channels and platforms. Your ability to compile data, interpret it, and communicate its significance will be crucial to our continued growth.

Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple marketing platforms including HubSpot, Meta ads, Google ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Hyros, Click Funnels, Webflow and various specialized tools like Vidalytics or Stealth Seminar
- Build and maintain comprehensive marketing dashboards in Sigma that track key performance indicators
- Generate regular reports on marketing campaign performance, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Support the build and maintenance of an accurate and representative campaign attribution system
- Develop and monitor metrics for cost per acquisition (CPA), customer lifetime value (LTV), and ROAS across all marketing channels
- Work with the business operations data team to ensure proper integration of marketing data into our Snowflake data warehouse
- Validate data accuracy across various marketing platforms and payment processors (NMI, CopeCart)
- Develop and implement data governance practices specific to marketing data to ensure accuracy
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and recommend solutions for data integrity issues
Results
- Translate complex marketing data into clear, actionable insights for the marketing team
- Partner with the Marketing Director to develop data-driven strategies for campaign optimization
- Conduct A/B testing analyses to determine the effectiveness of different marketing approaches
- Create attribution models to understand the impact of various marketing touchpoints
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in accessible, non-technical language
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in marketing analytics or similar data-focused role
- Analytics background or previous role owning dashboards/centralized organizational metrics
- Strong experience with data visualization tools, such as Sigma Computing, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, and the ability to create intuitive, impactful dashboards
- Expertise in SQL for querying large datasets in cloud-based data warehouses, particularly Snowflake
- Demonstrated expertise with customer journey mapping, digital marketing channels, and marketing analytics platforms, including Google Analytics (GA4), HubSpot, and ad platform reporting tools
- Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages for statistical analysis and data manipulation
- Understanding of A/B testing methodologies, cohort analysis, and statistical experience
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) to model and transform raw data into clean, accurate datasets for analysis
- Proficiency with Fivetran or other ELT/ETL tools for automating data pipelines
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, business, and any other relevant field experience (or equivalent work experience)
