Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the data refreshes are running efficiently, performing regular updates and backups
• Involve in production support and maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and communicating
• Design and implement dimensional models (star/snowflake) for efficient querying and reporting
• Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to maintain high data quality and integrity
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques
• Gather business requirements, review the feasibility, document, and provide technical solutions
• Maintain technical design documents as well as comprehensive documentation of procedures
• Prepare estimates based upon the custom requirement and prepare a project schedule
• Responsible for providing standard solution sets as well as customized solutions
• Work closely with vendors through service requests as and when required for business-critical issues
• Should be able to redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing BI systems
• Ensure the change management process is followed

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a business intelligence environment
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data visualization and reporting.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., ADF, SSIS, Informatica) for data ingestion.
• Strong experience with SQL, DBMS (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Knowledge of the change management process is a plus
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Skills Required:

• Strong experience with SQL, DBMS (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Strong experience in at least one ETL tool, e.g., ADF, SSIS, Informatica
• Proven experience in designing and implementing dimensional models for data warehousing
• Strong critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data issues
• Strong experience in performance optimization techniques
• Strong t-SQL skills with experience in Azure SQL DB
• DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and Automation experience are a plus
• Able to interact with team members collaboratively
• Experience handling Structured and unstructured data
• Ability to manage multi-tasking simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent oral & written communication skills

Education

• Bachelor's/master’s in computer science or any branch of engineering or equivalent related IT experience.
