Your Role: 

At emnify, we are enhancing our capabilities to deliver smarter, more proactive solutions for our IoT connectivity platform. We are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in this transformation, designing and deploying cutting-edge ML/AI models that power predictive and prescriptive insights. In this high-impact role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, data engineers, and analysts—to solve complex business challenges and drive innovation. Our flexible work arrangements include monthly in-person workshops, so candidates based in Berlin or nearby cities are preferred.

Location: Berlin, Germany (or remote within the EU, with preference for proximity to Berlin).

Your Impact: 

  • Developing and deploying machine learning models to enhance IoT connectivity intelligence (e.g., automated diagnostics, anomaly detection, real-time alerts).
  • Collaborating with data engineers to build scalable ML pipelines, ensuring seamless model deployment, monitoring, and real-time data processing.
  • Embedding predictive capabilities into APIs and customer portals, delivering actionable insights that optimize SIM usage, connectivity quality, and network performance.
  • Strengthening fraud detection and network optimization, using AI to identify anomalies, unauthorized access, and opportunities for self-learning connectivity improvements.
  • Driving data-driven decision-making by providing leadership with advanced analytics to fuel business growth.

Your Skills: 

  • Strong foundation in statistical modeling and machine learning development.
  • Proven experience deploying models to production and maintaining ML pipelines.
  • Expertise in Python, SQL, and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Hands-on experience with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark Streaming).
  • Ability to solve business problems by translating needs into scalable technical solutions.
