The aim of this role is to develop, advance, and support the technology maturing process of state of the art research in 3D/4D Generative AI technologies.Research Scientist, 3D/4D Generative AI for World Generation Responsibilities
- Research and develop novel computer vision models in Generative AI, with a focus on photorealistic 3D/4D scene generation.
- Publish research results at top-tier international conferences.
- Collaborate with team members throughout the lifetime of a project, from early research through prototyping
- Develop research that can be applied to Meta’s VR/AR product development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- PhD in the field of computer vision, machine learning, robotics, or equivalent
- 3+ years of work experience in a faculty, industry, or government research position with primary emphasis on AI research
- Background in generative AI, 3D computer vision, video, and image generation
- Experience designing generative machine learning algorithms, including data curation, large-scale training, and inference of novel ML architectures
- Experience working in cross functional collaborations
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH
- Experience in AI research and with large-scale, foundation model training efforts
- Evidenced success with software engineering via internships, work experiences, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub.)
- Mathematical background and understanding of numerical optimization, linear algebra, probabilistic estimation, and 3D geometry
- Experience with prototyping algorithms in
$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
