The Oregon Health Authority has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research Analyst to join an excellent team. This is a full-time, permanent, represented position in the Health Policy and Analytics Division, Office of Health Analytics in Salem, Oregon.

This position falls under the Research Analyst 4 classification. The AA Rate Pay Range for this position is $6,123.00-$9,409.00 USD Monthly.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.

A bachelor’s or graduate degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and three years of experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports. Two of the three years must have included coordinating and managing projects.

OR

Five years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports. Two of the five years must have included coordinating complex research projects.

Desired Attributes: The following are skills and lived experiences that we have identified as key to success in this role at OHA. These are the attributes we are looking for in our top candidate. If you possess any of these, please let us know in your application.

  • At least three years of experience using statistical software (e.g., SAS, SQL) for data management and conducting statistical analyses.
  • At least two years of experience in health outcomes research, healthcare delivery systems research, or health survey research.
  • Proven proficiency with data visualization tools, especially Power BI, Tableau, or SharePoint BI.
  • Experience producing written reports, executive summaries, and fact sheets based on data analysis.
  • Experience designing and implementing self-service analytic dashboards for data visualization.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, including formal qualitative data analysis experience (preferred).
  • Experience working with Medicaid programs, behavioral health treatment services, and/or other social services.
  • Experience in advancing health equity and addressing systemic health disparities through collaborative work with diverse and underrepresented populations.
