Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join our DPLC Core team.  In this role, you will combine your engineering expertise and data analysis skills to support the product lifecycle process, drive data-driven insights, and contribute to the optimization of our product management strategies.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

• Complete data collection, curation, analysis, and visualization.
• Perform data cleaning using Python Spark.
• Extract, transform, and load data from different feeds.
• Generate and execute database DDL, DML
• Perform data quality checks.
• Create and maintain scripts/macros in Python and VBA
• Automate the data analytics process from raw data into final output.
• Make statistical analysis to quantify completeness and validity of a data source.
• Support team with any ad-hoc data related tasks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather insights, refine requirements, and ensure alignment between product goals and team efforts.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Degree in Math, Data Science, or Computer Science
• Experience working in an Agile Team.
• Familiarity with building data pipelines and automating analytics processes.
• Aerospace industry experience
• Tableau and/or any other visualization tool experience
• Experience with Databases and SQL
