Summary of Role:
Global Tapeout Services organization is seeking a highly skilled data engineer to lead our business transformation project with focus on managing and ensuring the quality, integrity, and usability of data assets responsible for all business operations. As a business data steward, you will act as a liaison with the data governance, and technology teams to enforce data governance policies and best practices within the business. This role will also be responsible in driving migration from on-premise to cloud-based infrastructure, aligning with best practices for future state technologies that support our sales, tape out  and manufacturing teams across the organization working with product owners and data leads. 
 
The ideal candidate will have data focused experience in software product, enterprise, and mixed technology environments. They should have 8+ years of full stack and/or middleware software development experience, including CI/CD, distributed application architecture, technology optimization, and strategic planning. Additionally, they should have experience working with SCRUM/Agile/iterative methods, as well as performing solution and enterprise design with a focus on full stack application development in both cloud-native and on-prem environments. 
 
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models, application solutions using various technologies, including SQL/no-SQL, on-premises & cloud-native database applications.
  • Prepare documentation and messaging necessary for technology to communicate strategies and plans to executive management. 
  • Participate in DevOps, Monitoring, Alerting, KPIs, and Testing efforts related to applications. 
  • Ensure applications are designed, tested, documented, implemented, enhanced, and maintained according to enterprise standards and expected service quality. 
  • Design and implement data pipelines to collect, transform, load data from multiple sources 
  • Develop tool/services  for End-to-end performance monitoring and visualization pipelines to ensuring seamless integration 
  • Develop features for data collection service to support multiple cloud deployment environment along with on-prem setup.


Other Responsibilities: 

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

 

Required Qualifications:   

  • PHD with 5+ years / Master's degree with 6+ years of working experience in relevant field. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written. 
  • Deep understanding & a strong hands-on experience of Cloud Native architecture that includes design principles, microservices, containerization, serverless computing , Kubernetes, networking, data storage, routing, caching & DevOps practices 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native development frameworks and tools, such as AWS services like RDS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Dynamo DB, < add other services> 
  • 5+ years of practical experience with AWS architecting, designing, supporting cloud infrastructure and applications with a strong technical background: large-scale distributed architecture, cloud, cloud-native, big data, vertical-based digital transformation, AI/ML, etc.

  • Results oriented and focused on quality of work. 
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, clients, as well as internal and external partners.  
  • Strong presentation and technical writing skills. 
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment. 
  • AWS cloud architecture (AWS Solutions Architecture) Or AWS DevOps Engineer certification is preferred 
  • Prior semiconductor industry experience 

Expected Salary Range

$99,000.00 - $159,100.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
