Junior Software Engineer

We are now looking for a Junior Software Engineer who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. 

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Contribute to designing, coding, and deploying features within our SaaS platform and data pipelines for forecasting and prediction models.

• Work closely with teammates from various disciplines - such as data science, operations, and product management - to deliver high-quality solutions for customers.

• Take part in the entire lifecycle of our models, from initial concept to deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring reliability and performance.

• Implement automated tests, participate in peer code reviews, and embrace continuous integration practices to ensure robust, maintainable code.

What you need to succeed:

• Strong software development skills in Python.
• Experience with - or willingness to learn - GCP and Airflow is a plus.
  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or an equivalent field.
  
• Any experience with energy markets, especially gas markets, is highly beneficial but not required.
  
• A passion for teamwork, appreciating constructive feedback, and belief in achieving success together.
  
• Curiosity, an open mind, and eagerness to learn what you do not already know.
  
• A strong sense of clean code, test-driven development, and data quality.
  
• Excellent proficiency in English.

We are looking to hire for Volue office in Gdańsk but will be ready to consider other locations for the right candidate.
