About the Role

Kreditz is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our data operations, manage and optimize our MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, design efficient data pipelines, and ensure top-tier data security and integrity. You'll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and architects to support our credit scoring products. Your role also involves monitoring performance, implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the classification and compliance of data, ensuring alignment with GDPR and industry best practices.
• Optimize database performance, security, and availability.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Implement data security and disaster recovery measures.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies for data warehousing, orchestration, and governance.
• Provide strategic guidance on technologies and systems to manage raw data and improve overall data architecture.

Who You Are:

We are seeking a dedicated Data Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and is passionate about data. You should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven expertise in managing and optimizing MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong skills in SQL and scripting for database automation.
• Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• A solid understanding of data governance, quality, and security best practices.
• A proactive approach to recommending systems and technologies for areas like data warehousing, version control, and compliance.

Experience with FinTech and PSD2 technologies, as well as certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect, would be advantageous.
