Overview: Corndel is seeking an exceptional individual to join our Operations Learning and Development Team. The AI Skills Development Lead at Corndel is responsible for designing and implementing the company’s internal AI skilling strategy, ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively adopt AI technologies. This role drives AI training adoption in alignment with Corndel’s AI strategy, curates internal and external learning resources, and delivers AI-focused training sessions. The AI Skilling Lead also embeds AI training into onboarding, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives for employees and Professional Development Experts. They collaborate with stakeholders to measure impact, refine training approaches, and ensure AI skilling meets business needs. The role requires expertise in AI tools, ethical AI governance, learning and development strategy, and programme implementation, alongside strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
Key role responsibilities:
- Design and implement Corndel’s internal AI skilling strategy
- Drive adoption levels of AI tools through skilling in line with Corndel’s AI strategy
- Direct delivery of AI training as part of the AI skilling strategy
- Curate internal (e.g Corndel AI Fundamentals) and external (e.g. Microsoft) training resources to support AI skilling strategy
- Coordinate internal resources to support AI skilling strategy e.g. internal apprenticeships
- Review onboarding of employees to embed AI training for all
- Design and implement an upskilling and reskilling strategy for new and existing Corndel Professional Development Experts to enable them to successfully deliver programmes with confidence in AI topics
- Measure impact of AI skilling solutions at Corndel and produce case studies to support encouragement of others
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to establish feedback loops to ensure AI skilling is delivering impact and is adjusted to meet business needs.
- Develop, acquire, refresh and make readily available AI Learning and Development assets and tools to support Corndel’s AI learning needs and approach.
Essential Experience:

AI and Digital Skills Training Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of AI concepts, tools, and applications (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation tools).
- Experience in delivering AI-focused training and workshops, preferably in a corporate or professional development setting.

Familiarity with AI ethics and governance in a corporate setting:
- Knowledge of ethical AI principles, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, AI Act), and corporate governance frameworks to ensure responsible AI deployment.
- Ability to assess AI-related risks, develop governance policies, and align AI initiatives with corporate, legal, and ethical standards.

Learning and Development Strategy Design:
- Proven ability to design and implement skilling, upskilling, and reskilling strategies.
- Experience curating learning resources, both internal and external (e.g., Microsoft certifications, AI training platforms).

Programme Implementation and Adoption:
- Track record of successfully rolling out training programmes and driving adoption of new technologies within an organisation.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and methods for embedding training into onboarding and continuous development.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management:
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, L&D, senior leaders, and department heads, to ensure AI skilling aligns with business objectives.
- Experience in establishing feedback loops and refining training programmes based on learner needs.

Impact Measurement and Reporting:
- Ability to assess and report on the effectiveness of skilling initiatives through metrics, case studies, and qualitative feedback.
- Experience leveraging data-driven insights to refine training programmes.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with apprenticeship programmes or internal talent development pathways.
- Background in edtech, L&D consultancy, or instructional design with a focus on emerging technologies.
- Prior experience working in a professional services or training provider environment.
- Experience with SCORM, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia for designing digital training materials.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Monday.com, Asana, or Trello for coordinating AI skilling initiatives.
Required Technical Skills:
AI and Automation Tools:
- Proficiency in AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI (ChatGPT), Bard, Claude, and other generative AI technologies.
- Understanding of automation tools like Power Automate, Zapier, or AI-enhanced workflows.
AI Fundamentals and Application:
- Strong knowledge of machine learning concepts, NLP (Natural Language Processing), and AI applications in business settings.
- Familiarity with AI governance, bias in AI, ethics, and responsible AI use.
Learning Management Systems (LMS) & Digital Learning Tools:
- Experience working with LMS platforms
- Familiarity with AI-driven learning platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Microsoft Learn).
- Use of Miro, Mentimeter, Kahoot, or other engagement tools to enhance training sessions.
Data Analysis & Impact Measurement:
- Ability to use Power BI, Google Analytics, or internal HR analytics tools to measure training effectiveness.
- Proficiency in survey tools like Microsoft Forms, Typeform, or Qualtrics for gathering learner feedback.
Content Creation & Curation for AI Skilling:
- Ability to curate external learning content (e.g., Microsoft Learn content, Google AI training modules etc).
Project & Change Management:
- Knowledge of Agile, Lean, or Design Thinking methodologies for training programme rollouts.
Required Qualifications:
- Microsoft AI-900 (Azure AI Fundamentals)
- Google AI Essentials or TensorFlow Developer Certificate
Desirable Qualifications:
- AI and Digital Skills Certifications (Highly Desirable)
- Certified AI Ethics & Governance Professional (CAIEGP) – (Desirable)
- Certified Learning & Development Professional (CLDP) (Desirable)
