Responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity.  Is responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans.  May also be responsible for providing materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and for the appropriate shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers utilizing material handling equipment in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levels.  Includes planners and inventory control roles.

What you'll do

• Take primary responsibility to create visible data management across the supply chain to allow effective decision making and action plans to be formulated from the leaders in each area.
• Review and analyse all MRP/ERP planning attributes for all items assisting Planners and Buyers, to ensure customer on time delivery is achieved and inventory turns optimized.
• Use creativity: handle one off, complicated sometimes bespoke data analytical tasks or assignments to support team and business development.
• Help develop training matrixes/plans for Supply Chain department and create work instructions for business system-based workflows in Oracle, delivering training for Oracle users.
• Own a small portfolio of Production planning, raw material buying assigned by the Planning Manager, maintaining the ability to cover for planners or Buyers in extended periods of absence.

Who you are:

• Experienced in Oracle and highly proficient specifically in Planning and Material Management modules; educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.

• 10 Years experience of Supply Chain in the Materials/Planning and distribution area.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and capable of constructing complex formulae.
• Able to manipulate data sets from various sources to create a visual representation.
• Highly motivated with demonstrable problem-solving skills and the ability to train individuals.

It would also be a plus if you possess previous experience in:

• SQL, Snowflake Power bi data systems.
• Production and Material Planning (Oracle / SAP).
