It comprises three industry-leading businesses – Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon. Its 185,000 employees enable the company to operate at the edge of known science as they imagine and deliver solutions that push the boundaries in quantum physics, electric propulsion, directed energy, hypersonics, avionics and cybersecurity. The company, formed in 2020 through the combination of Raytheon Company and the United Technologies Corporation aerospace businesses, is headquartered in Arlington, VA.
The following position is to join our RTX BBN Team:
The Analytics and Machine Intelligence department (AMI) at RTX BBN is seeking an experienced leader and technical authority in advanced technologies of AI/ML with strong operational expertise and the ability to connect requirements to technical solutions. As a member of our technical staff, you will work on all aspects of software development, starting with concept ideation and development, implementation and testing, and finally, transition to the operational environments. You will have the opportunity to apply your work products to real-world applications and leverage the knowledge gained from that experience into new and advanced research threads.
In this age of automation and intelligence systems, we apply neuro-symbolic techniques (i.e. semantic technologies, deep neural networks, formal methods, etc) to understand the characteristics of autonomous systems and devise ways to combine them in unique ways to achieve the objectives of the battlefield commanders. We serve the intelligence community with new ways to discover patters from complex operations and determine the subtle signals that indicate anomalous events. Our technologies have dual use applicability, serving several commercial sectors such as financial, business intelligence, air traffic controllers, remote training, and media analytics. The incumbent will receive high level guidance from the BBN/AMI leadership and will be allowed freedom in independently planning assignments and in executing and applying technical acumen, judgment, and initiative.
