 Job Summary

• This is an important leadership role that sets the software vision, architecture, building standards, testing, etc.
• Architect and build an Enterprise-level (SaaS) database and applications across both media planning capabilities and media activation capabilities across multiple Retail Media Networks like Amazon, Walmart, Kroger, Instacart, etc.
• Develop automated data pipelines (input & output) for ingesting, synchronizing, parsing and processing complex data streams.   
• Incorporate multiple 3rd party APIs & other datasets from different sources, into one (or more) custom-developed measurement and display systems.  
• Establish relational database data storage and management plans 

Key Qualifications

• Must have proven experiences in architecting automated decisioning of unstructured big data sets in real-time.  
• Must have familiarity with large swaths of disparate, sometimes-irregular sets of data from a myriad of difference source-types (ie; email extracts, platform data dumps, API hooks, .csv/.xls files, and the occasional .pdf static file) 
• Strong familiarity with the most-popular and ubiquitous database design & development tools; and knowledge of modern db best practices, automation, maintenance, debugging & security very preferred 

• Ability to succeed in a startup-like environment, as a strong leader and influencer, executing tactically and strategically is vital 
• Proficient in understanding the needs of our enterprise/b2b clients, with the ability to collaborate and translate these needs into product features 
• Experience developing cloud computing applications in python with a NoSQL database like MongoDB. 

• Proficient in Python and other similar scripting language for automated data analysis of complex, multivariate data sets from a variety of sources. 
• Experience in python frameworks such as Flask and Django 
• Familiarity with one or several front end javascript frameworks (backbone, react, angular) 
• Knowledge of browser internals like Javascript engines, native DOM, Event APIs, browser quirks and ways to tune code for the best performance. 

• Experience batch processing data and/or creating real-time analysis systems  
• Experience with database setup, structures and management. 
• Proficiency using Git version control. 
• Proficiency using the command line. 

• Excellent teamwork, patience, communication skills and a willingness to teach others your craft are desired. 

• Experience with using, building & maintaining machine-learning systems 

Education & Experience

• BS in Data Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomechanics, Mechatronics, Biomedical or a similar technical discipline.  
• Must have 10 - 20 years of data software experience 
• Must have 5 - 10 years Enterprise experience

• Advanced degrees are invited but 5 years of applicable work experience is still required.
