Role Description

FNZ Propositions Team is a, dedicated & focused division within FNZ UK, which supports the development of the FNZ’s propositional strategy and ultimately, helps our customers achieve growth and success in the market. The Propositions Research and Data Analyst is a key role within this team and will provide detailed analysis and research expertise in the following areas: Identification of key market trends, competitor analysis, identification and quantification of market opportunities, creation and maintenance of key research documentation, support on creation and submission of business cases, support in the creation of sales materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and macroeconomic analysis to support proposition decisions and overall market strategy.

  • Analyse FNZ client performance data and benchmark to the industry to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain analytical models, dashboards, and data visualization tools to support FNZ UK leadership and our clients

  • Gather and clean data from internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.

  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports on market trends, performance, and investment products.

  • Collaborate with external research providers to deliver actionable insights.

  • Monitor industry news, regulatory updates, and competitor strategies to inform business development.

  • Present research findings and recommendations in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders.

  • Provide hands-on training and support to internal stakeholders on using analytics tools, data platforms, and research functionalities.

  • Deliver presentations, demos, and research briefs to clients and prospects, often in partnership with sales and relationship teams.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity for client-facing outputs, assisting in troubleshooting and resolution as needed.

  • Stay updated on macro economy, wealth management industry, and technology innovations to guide clients effectively.

Experience Required

  • Degree qualified 2:1 or above or equivalent ideally in a related field e.g., in Finance, Economics, Data Science.

  • 3+ years of experience in wealth management, financial analytics, or fintech (preferred but not essential).

  • Be able to evidence establishing an environment of continuous improvement and capability development.

  • Experience in Finance, IT or project management desirable but not essential.

  • Confident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery-focused environment.

  • Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style.

  • Superior analytical thinking.

  • Commercially aware and focused.

  • Intermediate computer skills essential.

  • Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills.

  • Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.

  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
