Description:

Responsibilities:

•    Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of diverse automotive data (e.g., sensor data, vehicle telematics, manufacturing data, customer data).
•    Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions to support AI/ML workloads
•     Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
•    Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand their data requirements and provide efficient data access.
•    Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes using various tools and technologies. 
•    Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
•     Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and identify areas for optimization.     
•    Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and best practices.    
•    Document data pipelines, data models, and data engineering processes. 
•    Participate in the design and implementation of data APIs for seamless data access.

Required Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building data pipelines for analytics and/or AI/ML applications.
•     Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
•    Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
•    Experience with data lake technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Delta Lake).
•    Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend).
•    Understanding of data modeling principles and database design.
•    Experience with data quality and data governance practices.
•    Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience working with automotive data (e.g., CAN bus data, sensor data).   
•    Experience with stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Kinesis).
•    Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).  
•    Familiarity with machine learning workflows and data requirements for model training and deployment.
•    Experience with MLOps principles and tools.
•     Experience with NoSQL databases.
•    Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations relevant to the automotive industry.
